Four full days at Imbali Safari Lodge are spent exploring the vast wilderness region on sunrise and sunset game drives and enjoying hours of relaxation and pampering back at the lodge, as well as a magical “sofa safari” from their own viewining deck.
The 5-day Imbali safari tour takes guests to the heart of the Kruger National Park to the Mluwati Concession. Imbali Safari Lodge is one of three luxury safari lodges in the private concession and promises guests luxurious accommodation in a spectacular setting and an outstanding safari experience.
The private concessions within the iconic Kruger National Park are areas of land where carefully selected operators have a license to offer all the benefits of a luxury safari lodge on a private reserve. Guests staying at Imbali Lodge are taken on game drives in an open safari vehicle within the private concession and have access to the public roads of Kruger Park.

Meals at the main lodge are served on the outdoor deck around a sparkling pool with a panoramic view of the

Two shuttle buses depart each day from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg; 06h45 and 10h45.
It’s a 5-6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Imbali Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park; We take the scenic route through the historic towns of the Panorama Route and to the town of Hoedspruit with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches.
Arrive mid-day in the Mluwati Concession and book into Imbali Safari Lodge. Enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive on an open safari vehicle. Sundowners at a special vantage point.

Start your day early with hot beverages and rusks before joining your ranger for a 3-hour game drive. You’ll explore Mluwati Concession as well as parts of central Kruger Park. Return for a hearty breakfast; enjoy hours of relaxation on your private deck with its own plunge pool, a light lunch and delicious High Tea before its time to depart for the evening game drive.

Wake up early for tea and coffee and then depart for a sunrise safari tour of the Mluwati Concession. Enjoy a light breakfast back at Imbali Safari Lodge before checking out of your chalet.
You’ll be driven to Hoedspruit mid-morning to catch the shuttle bus back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Arrive in Johannesburg between 17h30 and 18h00, depending on traffic.
Guests are collected and dropped off at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. By special request, guests can be collected from their accommodation in Johannesburg or Pretoria for an additional cost.

If you plan to flight out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of the safari tour, we suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19h30 and an international flight that departs no earlier than 21h00.
For overnight accommodation close to OR Tambo International Airport, we highly recommend Saba Lodge. The lodge is owned and operated by Moafrika Tours and complimentary transfers to/from the airport and Saba Lodge are available on request.
If you are planning on traveling further, we do suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19:30 and an International Flight that departs no earlier than 21:00.
Flights to and from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and the Hoedspruit Airport can be arranged by us and paid for by a guest for a separate cost to the tour rate. The flying time is approximately 1 hour.
